International Educational and Cultural Exchanges
The International Exchange Programs Division administers the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program and other short-term international exchange programs. Staff members offer a range of backgrounds and skills in order to research, develop and implement customized educational and cultural programs for emerging leaders from around the world. International delegates come to the United States to study a variety of topics. Areas of program development expertise include arts administration, NGO management, rule of law, democracy-building, trade, conflict resolution, university administration, media, human and civil rights, among others. As a member of the National Council for International Visitors, the Fund has contacts and access to nearly one hundred communities in 48 states as well as most U.S. colleges and universities.
The International Exchange Programs Division provides services to the State Department’s Office of Broadcast Services and can customize services to other public and private partners including corporations, universities, and government agencies. Services are custom designed to client needs and can range in complexity from making travel arrangements and providing logistical support for international delegations to designing full-service programs that can last from several days to several months.
