Intern – International Exchange Programs Division
The International Exchange Programs Division administers the U.S. Department of State’s largest public diplomacy program, the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP). Each year the IVLP brings over 4,000 emerging leaders to the United States for a three week customized program. These programs are carefully designed to reflect the visitor’s interests and reflect the Department of State’s foreign policy goals, including diversity and tolerance, democracy and rule of law, national security and grassroots activism. These distinguished visitors are nominated by the U.S. embassies abroad for the purpose of building relationships and mutual understanding with their U.S. counterparts.
